Are there restrictions or limits on what I can host with Virgo Networks? Print

  • 0

Broadly speaking, no - we're in the business of hosting customers data and services, not policing content. That said, there are a few restrictions that we're legally required to enforce regarding the use of our services.

As a general rule, if you are reading this to find out if your content is permitted, and would also be happy to have a face-to-face conversation about it, it's probably fine.

If you're concerned about the content you wish to host with Virgo Networks or your intended use of our services, please contact us to obtain clarification.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of content we do NOT allow under any circumstances anywhere on our platforms:

  • Material that depicts, documents, or promotes acts of terrorism,
  • Material that promotes or incites hate, violence, racism and other forms of discrimination,
  • Pornographic or indecent material that either; depicts persons under the age of 18 years, or violates the laws of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland,
  • Material that is intended to defame, harass, humiliate, victimise or otherwise cause harm to any individual or organisation.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of activities we do NOT allow under any circumstances anywhere on our platforms:

  • Sending of unsolicited E-Mail (SPAM),
  • Providing free hosting or mail services to members of the general public (applies to shared / reseller hosting products only),
  • Any other activity that, in the professional opinion of Virgo Networks, is seen to have an evidenced detrimental effect on the performance of our systems and the services that other customers
    receive.
